Brown Birch Bolete

Leccinum scabrum

Description:

I'm fairly sure this is L. scabrum. It grows with silver birch trees and is edible. I tried grilling the cap on a BBQ and it was horrible and soggy but my new Polish acquaintance says they are awesome fried in butter
