Description:

Adult - Reddish brown heard and body , black moustachial stripe and blue barring on the wing. White rumped contrast with black tail in flight.

Habitat:

Broad leaf forest consisting of oak, resident mainly to an altitude of 1800 mts to 2750 mts.

Notes:

Can be seen interacting with the rufuous sibias , black throated sun birds and black headed jay .These birds come in pairs or small flocks
