Description:

About the size of a chipmunk, but with elongated shape.... this is a nocturnal and arboreal rat from south america. according to our guide not so easy to found. This individual has very active during the day time, it was very alert of our presence. It was a very uniform color in all the body except for the stripe on the crown and the paler color in the tail.

Habitat:

Along rivers, (Amazon) small hollow trees.
