I think I found a Borer, Check this out.

This is a very destructive insect and it eats up the root system of the tree and weakens it and makes it vulnerable to strong winds etc.

Wow,oaks are my tree :) oak forest are magic stuff,this from a scientif point of vue:)big biodiversity,resistence to fires,food for hundreds animals,etc... and the wood is fantastic, Quercus :D
