Purple Coneflower

Echinacea purpurea

Habitat:

My front yard in my garden.

Notes:

My daughter who is sixteen and an amazing photographer took these in our yard last week. The butterfly may have had a run in with a bird or cat but is getting around just fine! It came everyday for a week to feast on our butterfly bush and echinacea plants.

Hi, your first photo is of a Painted Lady in not so good of shape. The other photos have a Monarch with what appears to be good wings. These are easy butterflies to confuse. Nice shots of Echinacea. It is a favorite of mine to attract butterflies.
