Rosebelly Lizard

Sceloporus varibilis

Description:

A widely ranging lizard, at home in many habitats; from ocean beaches to relatively high elevations. Individuals spend most of their time on the ground, their activities centered around basking spots that also provide shelter. Food consists of small arthropods. S. varibilis is oviparous, with females laying multiple clutches of 1-3-5 eggs throughout the year.

lowland dry forest, near human habitation
