Lanius collaris
A sturdily built bird, large head in proportion to body. Female differentiated by rufous flanks, where missing in males. Perches conspicuously on branches, posts and wire fences.
This specimen was feeding around a wetland, I observed him catching and eating the frog that can be seen in this series.
