Nymphaea ampla
Disclaimer: I am not at all as fluent in my Spanish as my English, so I won't provide a rare completely non-English-tainted spotting! Also known as the white lotus, this beautiful and fairly large flower is on display at Xcaret Park in Cancun, a location rich with a broad collection of the flora and fauna of the native Mexican area (let's just say I changed my camera's batteries every hour or so).
Yes, I cheated: the scientific name and all were conveniently inscribed on a nearby rock. Apparently, the flower has questionable effects on the human mind.
