Forest Buzzard

Buteo trizonatus

Description:

Similar to the Steppe Buzzard in size and plummage, but the Forest Buzzard lacks the barring on the flanks and is whiter below than the Steppe Buzzard.

Habitat:

Evergreen forests and forest edges. Locally common resident and endemic to the region.

Notes:

A gull-like 'pee-ooo" call.
