Bryozoan

Description:

What the HECK is this.

Notes:

This was the weirdest thing I've ever seen.. When I poked it with a stick, because the curiosity grew so large, it felt like what I'd imagine a silicone implant would be like. There are no jellyfish in the area, but many fishers go there. The next day, it was in the same place so I guess nothing wanted to eat it.

Cool. I don't know that much about them, only recently being introduced to the organism (thanks,PN), but your last photo tipped me off to examples I had seen before. Nice spotting; look forward to more from your area.

Thank you!! I think you're right! "bryozoans often look like they have little black dots embedded in them."

Assuming it is freshwater, it could be a bryozoan. Have a look here:

Since no one seems to know what this is, I conclude that it is an alien.
