Katydid

Description:

Bright green insect long antennae.

Habitat:

Cape Cod, Mass.

Notes:

This little hopper landed on a window and I quickly grabbed a photo before it took off. It looks like a katydid. After I snapped the pic, it was cool to spend some time examining its underbelly.

Hi Yasser! I love the angle of this photo! Based on your location, I think it is safe to assume you have found a Northern Bush Katydid, Scudderia septentrionalis. I constantly have these guys crawling alongside the outside walls of my house when I go mothing. They have a pretty awesome sound, like thousands of marbles hitting the ground at once!
