Spotted Hyena

Crocuta crocuta

This pack of hyenas were toying with the herd of wildebeest coming to the waterhole. They'd let the herd congregate and start drinking and then rush them - which resulted in flying hooves, water and dust. They obviously had the leavings of a previous meal in the grass

I had gotten some great shots of the wildebeest kicking up sand and water, but sadly my SD card crashed and had to use my husband's(with his persmission)
