Description:

Photo take a t -45 ft in a coral reef , this school of porkfish are local and always stay in the same reef sometimes the school gets really big and sometimes spread in small groups along the reef. this is a medium size fish about 30 cm long white whit yellow stripes along the body to black distinguish marks across the head all fins are yellow as well.

Habitat:

Inhabitant of the coral reef found from Florida all the Caribbean sea to Brazil.

You are very right is the sound if you put them outside the water they make this particular sound, haha im happy after so many years finally we know the source of the name.

I found this Gerardo, possibly the source of their name, sounds like pigs at a trough to me. :)

I been trying to find the same source whit not look maybe from Latin America and spanish names in my area the fisherman´s call them cochinas means pigs so maybe from there i am curious too :)
