The gorget color is not a good character to go off of, if light hits it different ways it can appear to be different colors. I saw many blue-throated hummers in AZ and I promise you this is not one of them
The Blue-throated Hummer has much more rounded wings compared to this one and also it's missing the white spots on tail. When resting, the Blue throated doesn't show a hunched posture, it's more barrel cheated and upright. The Anna's commonly is in the hunched over position.
and this is what it looked like sitting there's just not mucolor in my photo, the photo in the link showes it's posture to be more like the anna's https://www.google.com/search?q=blue+thr...
I promise you this is not a blue-throated hummingbird. A birds shape does not change because it is cold. Even if they puff up their feathers, they are just getting bigger, not changing shapes. Your bird has white around the neck, blue-throated do not. They have a white bar behind the eye.
This is definitely not a blue-throated hummingbird, the shape is very wrong. They are a big hummingbird and much more elongated than the bird you have here
because i saw it right in front of me and there is no way that it could be a black chinned. it looks like an anna's or a black chinned, in the picture but that is only because it's puffed up.

And it looked exactly like this https://www.google.com/search?q=blue+thr...
when it was flying it was skinny, and it's lower part of it's face was all blue, not purple like a costa's or a black chinned.
Did it look like this? http://blogs.hightechhigh.org/katie2012/...
