Scarce Blue-Tailed Damsel Fly

Description:

Very small Approx 1.25 inches long, bright turquoise blue body with a single band on the tail.

Habitat:

A group of about half a dozen above my backyard pond, which has low hanging plant life and trees and large river rock.

Notes:

This is the first time that I have seen this one. I don't think that it is common here.
