Near small pond , shore line. Cold Spring , Ky ... Not Ny.
This is Ipomoea pandurata.
It is a wild potato vine, which is a member of the morning glory genus.
Russell wait for a day or two. You might get some Id suggestions. It does work ,believe me!!
I have been looking on Google at morning glory images and have come across wild potato vine which looks very similar. Now I'm confused , lol.
Thank you guys for the welcome and the information. Really looking forward to learning more and contributing.
Russell ,like Cehezog said this is a morning glory and the small neatly cut circle you see could be made by a leaf cutter bee. They cut circles in morning glory. There is a similar spotting by Karen Saxton which shows these perforations made by leaf cutter bees!Welcome To Project Noah!!
By the way...welcome to Project Noah! Hope to see more of your spottings.
It's a Morning Glory.
