Black Jade Vine

Mucuna nigricans

Description:

vine with large pendulous blooms

Habitat:

subtropical

Notes:

I spotted this during a 4 day trek in southern China near the border with Myanmar. This bloom was hanging near the side of the trail coming out of a tangle of brush. I couldn't see any of the leaves.
