Texas Spiny Lizard

Sceloporus olivaceous

Description:

Lizards similar to fence lizards. Beautiful coloration and fairly quick. Flee to trees when startled. Specimen was small and probably no older than two years.

Habitat:

Dry bottom land hardwood forest surrounded by several large lakes and wetlands. Heavily wooded. Many breeding pairs present at site.
