Aggressive plant. White flowers, tinged with pink, occur in large panicles. Odourless during the day.

Habitat:

Bare fields on the outskirts of Kolkata city where a mega development project is going on. Many ponds in the vicinity.

Notes:

Pollinated by long-tongued hawk moths. Reportedly has anti-helminth activity. Medicinal (Flowers of India)
