Carolina satyr

Hermeuptychia sosybius

Description:

Dark brown without markings. I am not 100 percent convinced that this isn't the Hermeuptychia intricata (Intricate Satyr). Unfortunately I didn't get an underside pic.

Habitat:

Spotted in a roadside meadow in a low moist area with mixed forest nearby. This is along county rd 42 (the entrance rd to Seven Devils Swamp).
