Back n the late 70's I had one as a pet. Amazing creatures and so clean.
Fun fact! A kangaroo rat can live its entire life without taking a single sip of water.
Merriam's kangaroo rats live in hot and dry areas, and have evolved to survive without drinking water by metabolizing the fluid they need from their diet of seeds.
