At first glance I though it was some kind of yellow flower blossom !
Upon closer inspection, it sadly looks like all of your aphids are quite healthy. They begin to die when they turn brown, a sign of infection.
Nice find, though these guys are so destructive it is not even funny. It infested all of the milkweed I was growing for Monarch Butterflies.
Fantastic! If you give it just a quick look, you can think it is a yellow inflorescence!
