Rainbow Lorikeet

Trichoglossus haematodus

Description:

One of the most colourful of all Australian parrots. They are around 320mm in total length. They feed on blossoms, berries, fruit & seeds mainly & are unmistakable in their colour & vocal screeches, especially when in numbers. They are found along the east coast of Australia.

Habitat:

Spotted on my Grevillea 'Moonlight' in my yard.
