Theraphosidae
Fun fact: A main predator of the tarantula is a type of wasp "tarantula hawks." These insects have to deliver a sting to the underside of the spider's unprotected cephalothorax. Once the spider becomes paralyzed, the wasp drags it back to its burrow where it deposits an egg on the abdomen of the tarantula. Upon hatching, the larva eats the nonessential parts of the spider and as it approaches pupation, it consumes the remainder! Who knew?!
