Description:

Both sexes are pictured. Both sexes present a large spatulate bill, orange for the female, black for the male. Female is overall brown, as many other Anas species. Male shows a dark green head, white breast, chestnut sides.

Habitat:

Qu'Appelle River meadows and wet lands.
