I used to be so scard of spiders (I don't know why).
Now that I live close to nature and I love, I should not be so afraid of
seeing new creatures. Thank you so much for your help.

Oh, and yours is a female. Look around the edges of her web and see if you notice a much smaller male. He'll have similar body structure but is a fraction of the size.

Almost all spider species in the United States are of no medical significance to humans. They just have more legs than we do. ;-)

Its a writing spider aka garden spider. Bug eating machine with no interest in hurting you :)
