American Bull Frog

Description:

Largest frog in North America. Can grow as long as 8 inches. Will eat anything it can overpower, from invertebrates and insects to crayfish and minnows. Some have eaten small birds and rodents and even other frogs (and bullfrogs!)

Habitat:

Found near larger, and more permanent bodies of water, like swamps, ponds and lakes along the water's edge.

**Caught as part of the BioDiversity Research Institute's BioBlitz at River Point Conservation Area in Falmouth, Maine.**
