Spotting

Description:

Amanita of some sort, maybe the blusher (A. rubescens) but not sure. I read panthercap (A. pantherina or something) has white scales not grey ones. I happened to have potassium hydroxide on me so the last image shows the effect of 25% potassium hydroxide on the cap, flesh and stem (there was no change) The blusher is edible but isn't recommended because of it's similarities to deadly poisonous mushrooms like the panthercap
