Hive of the giant honey bee -Apis dorsata/ Apis_dorsata_laboriosa, of high altitudes, is one of the four varieties of honey bees found in the Himalayan region.

Forests & high altitudes

Notes:

Found these hanging on the mango tree branches in a semi hilly forest region. Located on the foothills of the Dhauladhar range.
