Thanks for all the research bayucca! I had a feeling that it may be a cotton stainer, but it didn't look like any of the photos I found!! It was a nice puzzle for you :)

Pyrrhocoridae, Dysdercus sp.. Despite an intense search, I really can't tell you which one it is. There are several Dysdercus around in South Africa and all are very similar. Many IDs are not really trustable.
Dysdercus nigrofasciatus? Dysdercus fasciatus? Other one?
And to make it completely confusing there is also Cotton Stainer mimicking Reduviidae/Assassin Bug!!
