Lady bug larvea

Description:

My son found this bug on the floor next to a tree. Never see anything like this before. It's about 0.5 cm. Only has 6 legs at the front and a long abdomen. Please can someone help me ID this bug.

A beatle larvae, definitely! Could be this one, but there are thousands of different beatle species. http://www.google.nl/imgres?um=1&hl=...

Hi Allison! It looks like maybe a caterpillar, though I have never seen the ends taper off like this.
