These pretty flowers look like that they could belong to the Mallow family. i still have to find an ID for them.This Wild flower brochure for Mendocino does not show a match. http://mendotrails.org/wp-content/upload...

Flowers of the mallow family generally have the stamens fused together into one long tube, and I don't see that here. It reminds me more of a geranium, though I couldn't say for sure. Compare it to Geranium robertianum (that's not an ID, just a flower that looks similar to the one you have that grows around here)
