This cicada had crawled up from the earth and shed its old case a night or two back and was still in the garden by the driveway lights at about knee level

I have gathered all the spottings of cicadas from a couple of weeks but there do seem to be a lot falling out of trees. Not sure I am getting more than the southern group but perhaps the fact that I go out at night and capture the ones that not many people see
