Unknown Crambid Moth

Description:

This moth was a little over 10 mm . Mostly pale brown with tinges of green. The wings were held flat over the body and each fore wing showed a broad band bordered by narrow zig-zagging white pattern. Within each band was a dark spot and a short dark band posterior to it. A small backward pointing tuft of setae was seen along the posterior margin of the thorax. Antennae were swept back. Mouth parts were drawn out to a snout.

Habitat:

Spotted under bright lights near a school yard ( with native and exotic species of plants)

Notes:

Could be Heteromicta species. Need to investigate further.
