A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Actitis hypoleucos
Small Palearctic wader, short-necked and long-tailed, most often in that semi-crouched carriage or bobbing the tail up and down while foraging. It is roughly the same length like that beer can next to the bird on pic N° 4... Bright white below, brown and barred above; that white shoulder patch intruding between the brown of wing and the brown of neck is its ID distinctive mark.
Found in it's prefered habitat; gravelled and rocky coast and shallow waters of a small stream in protected mixed forest.
Those pieces of rubbish are so unfortunately common around, and found really everywhere... even the most hidden and protected gems of nature seem to have at least few total idiots passing by and marking their spots by litter. Unfortunately again, I was unable to reach that can and remove it.
