I didn't know that. Very cool!! It is a beautiful turtle.
Wonderful spotting Rosa! I looked on the wikipedia page for this species and learned that "Platemys platycephala means 'flat turtle, flat-head' and accurately describes the structure of the head and shell." Cool!
