Domestic Sheep

Ovis aries

Description:

Sheep is not native to Borneo but this sheep is found here in Sabah. It has adapted itself to the warm climate here without it's wool sheared. It is not used as a livestock but used as a local tourist attraction as locals never get a chance to see a sheep in Sabah, not even in zoos. This is one of the 2 sheep kept by the seaside resort. They are not shy and will come close to humans that have foods, junk foods. I never knew that sheep eat junk foods, I thought they only feed on grasses. My pictures shows the sheep out at night, last picture - my young cousins playing and feeding the sheep with junk foods.

Habitat:

Langkah Syabas Beach Resort, Kampung Laut Kinarut, Sabah.

Notes:

My first sheep spotting. This is the first time I saw a sheep in Malaysia. >>>Map accuracy : 50m diameter.
