Western long-nosed snake

Description:

We found this young snake inside the house. He was about 6 - 8 inches long and maybe the diameter of a pencil. I think it is a king snake? Mostly the king snakes we have are a lot of black with thinner bands of the yellowish/white.

Now that I look at him, I'm wondering if it might be a gopher snake? The king snakes we have here usually are more black like this:

Reading about gopher snakes and looking at some other pix, I now think maybe he is a gopher snake.

At any rate, he is now an OUTSIDE snake...
