Description:

Observed here a female or juvenile male - the adult male is bright red slender bottom fish with black head. Here, some 12 to 15 cm long, silvery-beige basic color with distinctive reddish vertical stripes, and orange ring around eyes - however, these colors are often adapted to the environment.

Habitat:

This blenny is endemic to the Mediterranean Sea, where it is widespread, and found in almost all coastal areas, in shallow waters with rocky bottoms, rich in seaweed and algaes. Here, on less than 1m of depth, in a bay with rocky beaches and crystal clear waters below a protected mediterranean coniferous forest.
