Barn Swallow & nestlings

Hirundo rustica

Habitat:

most widespread swallow in the world, probably because it can co-exist easily with man!

Notes:

This intrepid breeder was nesting up under the roof right beside the main visitors' building at Manning Park Resort! Breeding is later there because of the late arrival of spring at that location - especially late this year with all the snow.

Thanks! This is such a great place to bird in the month of July when everything near my place has already done breeding and started to migrate south! I it only 2 hours from my place but up in the Cascade Mountains.
