Red Eyed Tree Frog

Agalychnis callidryas

Description:

One of the most beautiful frogs in the world, this little guy has almost all the colors of the rainbow on him, yet during the day when his legs are tucked under his body, he is almost invisible.

Habitat:

Red-eyed tree frogs inhabit areas near rivers and ponds in rainforests from southern Mexico, through Central America, to northern Colombia. This one was spotted in La Fortuna de San Carlos, Costa Rica.

love your photo! There is a nightly 'frog symphony' in my adjacent wetland reserve, but I've never spotted a single one yet ~ will keep trying!
