Rhacophorus nigropalmatus
A large sized tree frog with striking bright colours of green, yellow and white. Its name is misleading as they don't fly but glide. Being a tree frog, they do climb high up among trees. And to get down quickly or to get away from their predators, they glide by spreading the webbings on their legs.
Tropical forest. This particular Frog was found at the Frog Pond of Kubah National Park.

Congratulations Albert, your Wallace's flying frog is our Spotting of the Day:
"Are you a frog lover yet? We hope you will be after discovering the marvelous Wallace's flying frog (Rhacophorus nigropalmatus), our Spotting of the Day! This large (body length of 80–100 mm) emerald green tree frog stands out with its big pale yellow eyes, long limbs and yellow webbing between fingers and toes. Together with loose skin flaps on the sides the webbing helps this frog to extend its leap into a glide. The oversized toe pads well visible on this shot help with landing and sticking to tree trunks. Wallace's flying frog is named after Alfred Russel Wallace, a British naturalist best known for his pioneering work on evolution and natural selection. Wallace also identified what is now known as the Wallace Line, a boundary that separates the ecozone of Asia and the Australasian ecozone".
