The adults can be recognised by the light spots on the sides. The juveniles are striped.

Habitat:

Forest floor; Brazil, Guyanas.

Notes:

About the same size and colour as Ameiva ameiva, but less common, and never seen in gardens. Photo nr 2 is a juvenile.
