Trithemis arteriosa
It was at dusk that this dinky dragonfly (almost mistook for a damsel) was noticed roosting on a rose plant in the garden, a plant on which several other new dragonfly species have been spotted in the past. This Phantom Flutterer >> http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/388... for instance.
Male, on rose plant in the garden
Unlike others, this pretty one was rather accommodating. It lets me get very close and then would fleet off when I cross the boundary or when in contact with the zoomed lens of the compact camera only to return to the spot or nearby few seconds later.
