Astathes (Astathes) perplexa
A tangerine beetle with two black spots on both wings and two smaller black spots on the head that look like false eyes. Body length is about 2cm and the whole body is covered with fine hairs.
It thrives under shaded moist areas under forest undergrowth.
Thank you for the ID LennyWorthington, also thank you Lauren and martinl.
Lovely Cerambycid! It looks like one of those species where the antennae have completely divided the eyes….4-eyed Cerambycid!
This is a longicorn (long horned) beetle from the family Cerambycidae.
It is very cute!!!
