Description:

These webs covered the hillside beneath the trees.

Habitat:

Wooded section of greenbelt above a stream.

Notes:

The spider hides in the narrow end of a funnel that spreads out across the ground. On feeling a vibration of an insect crossing the web, the spider dashes out, bites the insect and carries it back to the funnel.
