Description:

Puffed up, spiny, white with some black markings. Lying on beach in Coco Cay, Bahamas.

Habitat:

Ocean.

Notes:

Went for help rather than attempting to return to water since I thought it was a puffer fish.

How cool! Thank you for the identification; I had originally thought it might be a puffer fish until I found a picture and realized I was WRONG!

Porcupinefish (Diodon nicthemerus)
If you look on the left on the ball you will see the eye, in the center folded down it looks like a fin.
