Thanks Brian it certainly looks close. As you said it is hard to be sure so I will leave it at the genus and submit it to a mosses forum and see what an expert has to say

Seams like you can never be 100% sure when it comes to moss, but Dicranum scoparium looks like the closest match I've found so far.
