Troglodytes troglodytes

This is a local resident species, small enough to find a way into and out of the aviary as it pleases. The aviary is designed to hold larger species but a number of smaller species from other areas of the zoo are also seen here at times some perhaps being escapees from other enclosures which return to the zoo for food!
