Chauliognathus tricolor
Native insect often found in large numbers to the point where they cover the surface of leaves tree trunks. The male appears to be quite a bit smaller than the female.

Please consider the tricolor soldier beetle with its blue, rather than grey elytra and its single colored pronotum.
